| Do's
& Don'ts For
the Instructor
-Be professional
at all times while you are in the presence of your class.
Leave your personal business out of the aerobics room.
Look and act professional.
-Don’t walk in
on a class that is still in progress, Wait until the class
is complete before coming in the aerobics room, unless
there is a separate room where you can’t be seen. Be courteous
to those you work with. It is very distracting to those
in class when the instructor has to set tapes. This should
already be done. The mark of a professional
-Don't forget to
smile.

a turn n’ tap?
Perform
a regular turnstep, cts 1-2, double tap down 3-4, tap up on top
with the right 5-6, march l/r.
Muscle
Balancing. Instead of trying to teach right and left and you’ve
taught a combo, consider teaching 2 or 3 combos on the right then
left leads. This enables you to reconstruct your choreography
at the end of each 32 count, either the last 4 count or last 8
count.
Once you have
completed teaching all combinations on the right and left leads,
perform combinations 1-5 on the right lead. You would have to
change the last 4 ct or 8 ct in order to begin each combination
with the lead leg.
TIP:
A
great tip for confidence. Try not to use notes. If you have to,
leave the notes over near the music area. If an instructor has
notes in his/her hand, how are you watching your class? It’s like
reading a recipe in the kitchen.
